Performance Specs 2025 Kicks vs. 2025 Kicks Play

One of the top line changes Nissan made to the 2025 version of the Kicks was an upgraded powertrain. The 2025 Nissan Kicks employs a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine making 141 horsepower and 140 pound-feet of torque. The Kicks Play model uses the previous generation’s powerplant, a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine topping out at 122 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque. Both versions use the Nissan Xtronic continuously variable transmission.

Kicks vs. Kicks Play Cargo Volume

Anyone visiting the Barrie Nissan showroom who sees the 2025 Nissan Kicks sitting next to the 2025 Nissan Kicks Play will notice a fairly significant size differential. A major element of the 2025 Kicks redesign is that designers have increased the SUV’s overall size. The 2025 model has a total of 3,557 litres of overall interior space, compared to 2,626 litres in the 2025 Kicks Play.

A larger interior volume has also led to more available cargo volume for the 2025 Kicks model. When people are using the rear seat in the latest Kicks version, there will still be nearly 850 litres of cargo volume. Folding the seats down will make 1,700 litres to haul cargo. Compare that to the Kicks Play that offers 716 litres of cargo volume when people are sitting in the back seat which can expand to 915 litres when the seat is properly stowed.

Is There a Price Difference Between the Kicks and Kicks Play?

The 2025 Nissan Kicks Play continues to be well-suited for people who need a fuel-efficient way to commute around town. Barrie Nissan customers interested in the 2025 Kicks Play have two versions to consider: S and SV. These models have a starting price of $22,589 and $25,198, respectively. The all-new 2025 Nissan Kicks has a starting price of less than $30,000.
